Airport News
The airport authority is currently implementing a US$43m plan to add 700m (2,000 ft) to the east-west runway. The work is scheduled for completion by early 2007, at which point the airport will be in a better position to expand air service to overseas destinations. There are also plans to renovate the terminal building to enhance capacity.
Driving Directions
From Downtown, take I-59/20 east to exit 129. From Atlanta, take I-20 west to I-20/59 west and then to exit 129. Turn left at bottom of exit, and follow Airport Highway to the airport.
Car Parking
5,600 spaces are available for short- and long-term parking in the parking deck. Short-term parking is located on level 3, and long-term parking is located on levels 2 and 4 through 7. Level 3 is connected by crosswalks to concourse B and C. The remote parking lot (surface parking) has 900 spaces and is serviced by a complimentary shuttle. The cell phone lot accommodates 40 cars. Car Hire
Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National counters are located on the ground level of the terminal near the baggage claim area and concourse B. All rental cars may be picked-up or dropped-off in the parking deck on the ground level.

The airport is fully accessible for disabled travellers, with lifts, ramps and adapted toilets. Wheelchairs can be supplied if required. Passengers are advised to inform their airline of any special needs in advance. The parking facilities have designated spaces for disabled travellers.
