The airport is located 16km (10 miles) southeast of Vienna.

An extension, called Skylink, to the existing Terminal 2 building is under construction and is scheduled for completion in 2009.

Both terminals are housed in one building and are within walking distance of each other.

The best route to the airport is the A4 Airport Motorway. The motorway exit marked ‘Flughafen’ (Airport) leads directly to the terminal. The B9 road is an alternative main route.

There are several car parks at the airport. K1 and K2 are short-term car parks. Car parks 3 and 4 are multi-storey parking garages. Discount long-term parking is available in lot C. More information is available (tel: (01) 7007 22886).

Companies represented at the airport include Arac/Europcar, ATL, Avis, Budget, Hertz and Sixt.

Rail: The City Airport Train (tel: (01) 25250; website: www.cityairporttrain.com) runs to the City Air Terminal at Wien Mitte (journey time - 16 minutes). The S-Bahn (overground train) (tel: (05) 1717; website: www.oebb.at) connects the airport to Wien Mitte and Wien Nord railway stations (journey time - 25 minutes); it provides connections to the Vienna U-Bahn (underground rail) system.
Road: Bus: Vienna Airport Lines buses (tel: (05) 1717; website: www.oebb.at) go to Wien Mitte (journey time - 20 minutes), Südbahnhof and Westbahnhof railway stations and to Wien Schwedenplatz and the UNO-City.
Coach: Services are available to Bratislava (Slovak Republic) and Budapest (Hungary).
Taxi: Taxis to the city leave from outside the Arrivals hall. Taxis and minibuses are offered by Airport Service Wien (tel: (676) 351 6420; website: www.airportservice.at).

Information desks can be found in the Terminal 2 and at the bus station. The airport has a 24-hour telephone information service (tel: (01) 7007 22233).

Money and communications: Erste Bank has branches in the Departures hall. ATMs and bureau de change facilities are available throughout. There are two post offices as well. Wireless Internet access is available in both terminals.
Eating and drinking: The airport has several cafés, snack bars, restaurants and bars.
Shopping: There are over 70 shops, including duty-free.
Luggage: Porters (tel: (01) 7007 33140/1) are available on request at a small charge. Luggage trolleys are also available. There is a 24-hour left-luggage facility in the Arrivals area; and safety deposit boxes. There is also a lost property service (tel: (01) 7007 29360).
Other facilities: There is a 24-hour medical centre and a pharmacy.

The VIP & Business Services (tel: (01) 7007 23300/400) can organise events and press conferences as well as provide office services and room hire for meetings and conferences. The airport also has a special VIP Terminal and a Priority Terminal to the west of the standard airport airport terminals. There are 10 different executive lounges at the aiport. The Astron Hotel & Convention Center Vienna Airport (tel: (01) 701 510; website: www.astron-hotels.de) also offers conference facilities.

There are disabled toilets, lifts, telephones and Internet connections accessible to wheelchair users. Wheelchairs can be provided at the airport; assistance can be requested prior to arrival via the airport’s website. Disabled parking spaces are available in car parks 1, 3, 4 and C, with good access to the terminals.
