The airport is located 12km (7.5 miles) from Venice by land, 10km (6 miles) by water.

A free shuttle runs between the terminal, the docks and various car parks.

The airport is 15 minutes from the Venice-Mestre motorway exit and is located off the SS14 airport road towards Trieste, which is well signposted for the airport.

There are long-term garage and open-air car parks by the old terminal. In addition there are two other large open-air long-term car parks at the airport. The short-term car park is located directly opposite the airport's new terminal.

Auto Europa, Avis, Budget, Easy Car, Europcar, Hertz, Maggiore, Sixt, Targad Rent, Thrifty and Travelcar are all represented in the Arrivals area.

Road: Bus: There are scheduled bus services to Padua, Mestre and Venice. Venice-Mestre railway station is connected to the airport by the ATVO Fly Bus and the ACTV bus 15. Bus 5 also runs to Piazzale Roma. Bus information is available from ATVO (tel: (04)  2138 3672) and ACTV (tel: (04) 1272 2111).
Taxi: Traditional taxis are available from Radiotaxi (tel: (04) 1595 2080). Taxis to Padua and shared taxis area also available.
Water: Alilaguna (tel: (04) 1240 1701) runs waterboat services between the airport docks and Venice, Murano and Lido. A 24-hour motorboat service is available from Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia (tel: (04) 1522 2303).

A Venice Tourist Information Office is located in the Arrivals area (tel: (04) 1541 5887). An airport information desk is also situated in the Arrivals area (tel: (04) 1260 9260). Recorded information is available for both Arrivals (tel: (04) 1260 9240) and Departures (tel: (04) 1260 9250).

Money and communications: Facilities include bureaux de change, banks and 24-hour ATMs. There is a post office too, which also provides currency exchange and a fax service. In addition, Wireless Internet access is available.
Eating and drinking: There are bars, cafés and restaurants at the airport. Food outlets include traditional Italian espresso bars and a self-service restaurant.
Shopping: Most of the shops at the airport are located in the Departures area and include duty-free.
Luggage: Left-luggage facilities (tel: (04) 171 3719) and lost property offices are available.
Other facilities: There is a First Aid service (tel: (04) 1260 5385), a nursery and a prayer room.

The Travelex Business Centre (tel: (04) 1269 8191) has meeting rooms and conference halls, as well as individual workstations, secretarial support and translation services, audiovisual equipment and mobile phone hire. There are also VIP lounges with telephone, TV, video, slide projector, fax machine and a bar.

Wheelchairs are available for disabled travellers and passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. The terminal is equipped with ramps and lifts that provide access to all areas.
