The airport is situated 24km (15 miles) northwest of Limerick and 90km (56 miles) south of Galway.
Driving Directions
From Limerick, the airport can be reached on the northbound N18, by following the signs for Ennis, and from Galway on the southbound N18. At Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, take the junction for Shannon Airport and bear left on the N19.
Car Parking
There are over 5,000 car parking spaces at the airport. Short-term parking (less than 24 hours) is available directly in front of the terminal building. Five long-term car parks are also available.
Car Hire
Avis, Budget, Dollar/Thrifty, Europcar, Hertz and National all have desks in the Arrivals hall. A couple of local companies also operate at the airport.

Bus: There is a regular bus service to Limerick station.

Citylink (tel: (091) 564 163; website: www.citylink.ie) provides five daily direct coach services to Galway. JJ Kavannagh & Sons (tel: (056) 883 1106; website: www.jjkavanagh.ie) also operates services to Limerick and Dublin, seven days a week.

The Rineanna Lounge is located next to Gate 7 and is open to all for a fee (free to some members) 0600-1900. Airlines and groups can request executive lounge facilities for corporate events, press launches and business meetings. Facilities for Disabled Travellers
The airport has lifts, specially adapted payphones and vending machines, disabled toilets and ramps located throughout the terminal. There are two clearly marked spaces to pick-up and set-down disabled travellers in front of the terminal. Reserved parking at long-term rates is available in the short-term car park, with spaces located adjacent to terminal entrances. Wheelchairs are available free of charge for use within the airport. Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
