The airport is located 17km from Panama City.

The airport is readily accessible using the South Corridor Toll Highway or via Via Tocumen. From the center of Panama City, it takes less than 20 minutes via the Corridor, whereas due to heavy traffic, it can take an hour or more using Via Tocumen.

There is ample open-air parking in front of the main terminal on the arrivals level.

Alamo, Avis, Barriga, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, National and Thrifty have facilities on the arrivals level after exiting the customs area.

Road: There is no readily available public bus to or from the airport.
Taxi: Regulated taxis are available with pre-purchased fare.
Shuttle: Some hotels offer shuttle service.

The Panamanian Tourism Institute has a help desk inside the baggage claim area. In the Arrivals area, the Hotel Caesar Park also has an information counter.

Money and communications: There is an ATM on the departure level, along with a branch of the National Bank of Panama. Cable & Wireless operates a telephone/fax facility on the same level. Public telephones are available in various locations.
Eating and drinking: A restaurant and coffee shop are located on the upper level overlooking the departure area. On the arrivals level, there are a few snack outlets and there is a restaurant inside the departure area.
Shopping: There are a variety of shops located in the International Departure area with duty-free shopping available both on departure and arrival.
Luggage: Porters are available. Once departing the customs area, baggage carts cannot be taken out of the customs area.

There are no business facilities at the airport, but there is a VIP lounge, Tocumen Royal Saloon (tel: 238 2600), available for arriving and departing visitors.

The airport is fully accessible to disabled passengers.

The Riande Airport Hotel (tel: 290 3333; website: www.hotelesriande.com) is located next to the airport. Major hotels readily accessible using the South Corridor include the Hotel Caesar Park (tel: 270 0477), 15 minutes from the airport in San Francisco.
