The airport is located 50km (31 miles) north of Oslo.

The airport has a dedicated four-lane access road, Hwy 174, which connects to Hwy E6 at Jessheim; to find the junction on Hwy E6, follow signs marked ‘Gardermoen’.

There is a multi-storey car park with 4,000 spaces and direct access to the terminal and an outdoor car park (P0) immediately adjacent. There is also a long-term outdoor ground level car park, divided into five areas (P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5), with free shuttle buses running regularly to/from the terminal building.

Avis, Budget/Sixt, Europcar and Hertz all have desks in the Arrivals area, near the railway station.

Rail: There is an Airport Express Train (Flytoget) service, which runs between the airport and Oslo (journey time - 20 minutes), stopping at Oslo Central and various subway stations. All inter-city and express trains on the Skien-Oslo-Lillehammer-Trondheim route also stop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen station.
Road: Bus: The SAS Airport Bus (tel: 815 00 176) runs between Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Oslo Central Station toward the Radisson Scandinavia Hotel (journey time - 40 minutes). There is also a night service to Oslo Bus Terminal. For regional bus routes, there is a bus station just south of the railway station, which is within walking distance.
Coach: The airport coach Flybussekspressen (tel: 820 21 300) runs to/from Oslo, Bærum, Fredrikstad and Ski and Gjøvik.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available from the terminal; wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Airport Taxis (tel: 23 232 323). There is a taxi information desk in the Arrivals hall and the taxi rank is located outside Arrivals.

There is a staffed information desk in the Arrivals hall; for Passenger Services (tel: 915 06400). Hotel reservation and tourist information services are also available here.

Money and communications: Nordea bank has ATMs and bureaux de change in both the Arrivals and Departures halls (before and after security). Wireless Internet is available in all public areas of the terminal. Fax/photocopying is available at the information desk in the Arrivals hall.
Eating and drinking: Various restaurants, cafés, snack bars, fast-food outlets and bars are located throughout the airport.
Shopping: Duty-free shopping is available in the International Departures hall,and in International Arrivals; various other shops are located throughout the airport.
Luggage: There is a left-luggage and lost property office (tel: 64 813 477), located opposite the railway station. A porter service is available (tel: 64 810 444).
Other facilities: There is a travel agency in the Departures hall (before security).

The nearby Radisson SAS Airport Hotel Oslo (tel: 63 933 000) has a conference centre with telephones, computer facilities, data lines, Internet facilities, meeting rooms, video conferencing, secretarial services and catering; software for wireless Internet access can be purchased here.

The terminal is adapted for passengers with disabilities, who are requested to contact Passenger Services (tel: 915 06400) at least 24 hours in advance. Wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Airport Taxis (tel: 23 232 323) or at the taxi information desk in Arrivals.

The 350-room Radisson SAS Airport Hotel Oslo (tel: 63 933 000; website: www.radissonsas.com) is within walking distance of the terminal building. Nearby hotels include the Quality Hotel Gardermoen Airport (tel: 63 926 100; website: www.choicehotels.no) and the Clarion Hotel Oslo Airport (tel: 63 949 494; website: www.choicehotels.no); both hotels are a short drive away and are served by shuttle buses, which depart at least twice an hour from the airport (a fee is payable).
