The airport is located 19km (12 miles) southeast of Oakland.

The two terminals are linked by a covered pedestrian walkway.

From I-880 North or South, follow the exit signs on 98th Avenue or Hegenberger Road to the airport entrance. The main entrance is on 98th Avenue.

There are over 7,000 parking spaces at the airport. Hourly, daily, economy and valet car parking facilities are all provided. A moving walkway and free shuttle buses link the two terminals and car parks.

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Fox, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty are all represented at the airport. Shuttles provide transport from the terminals to the rental car centre and there are telephones in the Arrivals areas of both terminals to arrange transport.

Road
Bus: AirBART and AC Transit (tel: 817 1717; website: www.actransit.org) buses run frequently between the airport and the BART Oakland Coliseum rail station, for connections to BART services (tel: (510) 465 2278; website: www.bart.gov). AC Transit’s line 50 bus connects the Amtrak Station at Jack London Square to Oakland International Airport. Line 805 runs an hourly service at night between the airport and downtown Oakland and downtown San Francisco.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available from Friendly Cab (tel: (510) 536 3000 or 800 244 0400; regional shuttle services are also available to most destinations, including scheduled and door-to-door services.

Water
For travel by ferry, AC Transit's line 50 bus connects Jack London Square and the Alameda/Oakland Ferry to Oakland International Airport. The ferry (website: www.eastbayferry.com) provides services to Alameda, San Francisco's Ferry Terminal and Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf.

Money and communications: ATMs and phones can be found throughout the airport. Wi-Fi Internet access and post boxes are available in both terminals. 
Eating and drinking: The airport has plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, snack bars and bars in both terminals.
Shopping: There are shops in both terminals; duty-free is available in Terminal 1.
Luggage: A lost property service is available in Terminal 1 (tel: (510) 563 3982). There is a left-luggage office in Terminal 1. Trolleys are available throughout the airport.
Other facilities: A paramedic service is available.

There are full-service Laptop Lane business centres at the airport located in Terminal 1 at gate 9 (tel: (510) 969 3580) and in Terminal 2 at gate 20 (tel: (510) 969 3570). The nearby Hilton Oakland Airport (tel: (510) 635 5000; website: www.hilton.com) offers a full-service business centre and facilities ranging from small boardrooms to a theatre-style venue that can accommodate up to 810 people; high-speed Internet connections are available; a courtesy shuttle bus serves the airport.

Lifts and ramps are available where necessary; passengers requiring wheelchairs should contact their airline in advance. Reserved parking is available in both hourly and daily car parks. AirBART and AC Transit buses, as well as Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) rail stations are fully wheelchair-accessible.
