The airport is located 25km (16 miles) west of Montréal.
Airport News
A C$716m expansion programme was completed in 2006. It included two new jettys and a huge international arrivals complex comprising a customs hall and baggage-claim area. A 275-room Marriott hotel will open its doors near the airport’s transborder jetty in the autumn of 2008, featuring a pool, gymnasium, business centre, restaurants and conference rooms.
Driving Directions
The airport is situated off the east-west Hwy-20, but can also be reached from Montréal directly along the Côte-de-Liesse Hwy-520.
Car Parking
There are short- and long-term parking facilities, including the new Econoparc facility, at the airport. A free shuttle bus service operates from the long-term and Econoparc facilities to the airport, departing every 15 minutes. Valet parking is also available immediately outside the terminal building.
Car Hire
Car hire is available on-site from Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Entreprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty, with offices situated in the Arrivals area.
Public Transport
Road: Bus: L'Aérobus (tel: (514) 842 2281) offers a shuttle service from the airport to the Montréal Bus Central Station in the centre of Montréal. A complimentary shuttle service is available between the Montréal Bus Central Station and major downtown hotels. Shuttles depart every 25 minutes from the terminal forecourt in front of the Arrivals area. In addition, Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) (tel: (514) 786 4636) bus 204 (Cardinal Avenue) operates between the airport and the Dorval transport terminus.
Taxi: Taxis and limousines (tel: (514) 394 7377) are readily available outside the terminal on the Arrivals level, with a set fare to the city centre.

Information desks are located on both the Arrivals and Departures level. Courtesy telephones are situated throughout the airport.

Shopping: Duty-free and various other shops are available on the Departures level and in the jetties.

There are no conference facilities at the airport, although there are VIP lounges that are equipped with fax machines and computer terminals. A photocopy service is offered at the main foreign exchange office located on the Departures level. The Montréal Airport Hilton Hotel (tel: (514) 631 2411; website: www1.hilton.com) has a fully equipped business centre and conferencing facilities for up to 600 people.
Facilities for Disabled Travellers
Parking for disabled travellers is provided in the short-term parking lots. Disabled drivers who need long-term parking will be able to park their car in the Proxiparc multi-level parking house at economy rates (although the full price must be paid upon exiting, whereupon the driver will then be reimbursed the difference). Lifts connect all levels of the airport and text telephones are available throughout the terminal. Wheelchairs are available; passengers should contact their airline in advance.
