The airport is situated 24km (15 miles) northeast of Monterrey.

A third terminal is under construction, with completion due in late 2008/early 2009.

From Monterrey city centre, take Avenida Constitución, then Carretera Miguel Alemán and follow the airport exit signs.

The car park is located in front of the terminal building. Short- and long-term parking is available. The long-term parking area is located at the rear of the car park, 100m (91 yards) from the terminals.

International and local car hire companies are represented at the airport, including Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz and Thrifty.

There are no public transport options from the airport. Taxi and privately hired cars are the only two options.
Road
Taxi: Several taxi companies provide services to/from the airport (journey time - 30 minutes). Travellers can buy pre-paid tickets at designated airport desks. Suburban (tel: (081) 8352 2511; website: www.suburban.com.mx) offers pre-booked taxis.

There are two help and information desks at the airport: one is located in National Arrivals and the other in International Arrivals.

Money and communications: There is a bureau de change and several ATMs.
Eating and drinking: There are several restaurants and snack bars.
Shopping: Duty-free and gift shops are available.
Luggage: There are no left-luggage facilities at the airport.

Airlines have executive lounges for business-class passengers and club members, such as the Aeromexico Premier Salón Lounge, which is located on the ground floor of the International Departures lounge (next to the restaurant) and offers Wi-Fi Internet access, fax and photocopying. Business and conference facilities can be found at the nearby hotels. The nearby Hampton Inn - Monterrey Airport (tel: (081) 8196 8500) has a business centre and services including express mail, fax, photocopying and printing; the hotel also offers meeting rooms with audiovisual equipment for hire. The Best Western Monterrey Airport (tel: (081) 8220 3200) has a fully equipped business centre and a boardroom for meetings. Courtyard by Marriott - Monterrey Airport (tel: (081) 8625 5050) is equipped with a business centre and four meeting rooms. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

The airport is physically accessible with lifts and ramped access. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
